Description:

The supreme art of Nucci, no longer an Italian living national treasure! The clear image of Parma's "Rigoletto" with young singers such as DeMuro and Macchiaese! Tutto Verdi has finally entered the masterpieces of the middle period with the most popular of Verdi's operas, "Rigoletto", recorded at the Verdi Festival in Parma in October 2008. Rigoletto is sung by baritone Leo Nucci, who is no longer a living Italian treasure. Rigoletto, who has sung it more times than I can count, is truly wonderful in this 66-year-old performance. In addition to his unfading voice, he sings and plays the difficult role of Rigoletto at an extremely high level, with a wealth of experience and an inner flavor that only someone of his age can bring out. The strength of this performance is that Gilda and the Duke of Mantova are actually sung by young singers, with this Rigoletto by Nucci at the core.Gilda's Nino Machayese is a beautiful soprano from Georgia who sang Juliet in Gounod's "Romeo and Juliet" at the 2008 Salzburg Festival, succeeding Anna Netrebko, who had to drop out due to pregnancy, with great success. This performance of "Rigoletto" came shortly after. Her fresh and full voice is truly a great young talent. Francesco DeMuro, the Duke of Mantova, is a popular young tenor in Japan who has visited Japan several times. He was born in Porto Torres, Sardinia, Italy. His popularity has risen dramatically in the last few years, and he sings in famous theaters in Europe and the United States. His youthful, sweet voice and southern European appearance are perfect for the young and uninhibited Duke of Mantova, and he is full of the charm of a young seducer that veteran tenors have a hard time producing. Marco Spotti of Sparafucile is a local bass from Parma. He is a thin man with a deep bass tone, and is especially active in Verdi's bass roles.Massimo Zanetti is a mid-level Italian conductor. He is active mainly in German opera houses, especially in Dresden and Berlin, where he appears frequently. Stefano Vigioli's stage direction is extremely orthodox, which is rare in recent years. He does not merely follow the script, but gives a detailed and well-defined performance of the psychology of each character, especially the character of Gilda, who has awakened to love and self-destruction, and chooses her own destruction. This is a very successful production of "Rigoletto" in a straightforward manner. Japanese subtitles are included. King International
