Moire Carroll, Ireland's Leading Pianist! In the 1990s, there was a growing demand for solo performances of Glass's works, and the "Exercises Volume 1" (Nos. 1-10) was born. The "Exercises Vol. 1" (Nos. 1-10) were born out of this demand. These works were written for pianists who had new repertoire and were developing their technique. The "Volume 2" (Nos. 11 to 20) became more technically demanding and extremely difficult. Pianist Moire Carroll performs these works perfectly, faithful to the composer's speed, dynamics, and dynamics markings, while also expressing the pianist's own personality. Moire Carroll has been active in Europe and the United States in recent years, giving successful concerts at Wigmore Hall and Carnegie Hall, and in 2022 he will perform Philip Glass's "Exercises" in their entirety in Dublin.
