Salvatore Accardo (1941-) has been called "the second coming of Paganini" at a young age for his amazing technique, excellent performances of Paganini's works, and his success as a concert master of the "I Musici Ensemble". Salvatore Accardo ( 1941-). To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the birth of this world-class Italian violin virtuoso, Giulio Cesare Ricci, producer and engineer, and owner of the Italian audiophile label "Fone," has assembled a collection of recordings made in partnership with Accardo from the late 1980s to 2020. The anniversary box is a collection of the performances that Giulio Cesare Ricci and Giulio Cesare Ricci have recorded together from the late 80's to 2020! The box includes not only the masterpieces such as Paganini's "24 Caprices", Bach's "Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin", Brahms' "Sonatas", and Beethoven's "Violin Concertos", but also the Piazzolla series, a series of "Mozart" recorded in 1988, and "Stradivari", which were all recorded by Ricci in the late 1980s. Mozart" recorded in 1988, and performances on rare instruments such as the Stradivari.Another important point is the inclusion of newly recorded, previously unreleased Beethoven, Grieg, and Prokofiev performances by the matured Accardo in 2020. Giulio Cesare Ricci has newly remastered the recordings with "Signorich Technology" for this anniversary box, and we can expect great improvements in sound quality as well.
