Philadelphia five-piece NOBODY JONES has been leading the U.S. East Coast alternative country scene with their rustic songwriting and space-country sensibility, and their current resonance with Philadelphia-based experimental label DEATHBOMB ARC, which encompasses a miscellaneous avant-garde style, is also a nod to the band. The band has gained attention for their indie country-alterna-folk style, and their first album, "Missing Person," released in May 2025, presents a songwriting style that is a cross between introspection and openness. This disc is the second album from 2025 as early as 2025, focusing on a repertoire of popular songs that have been nurtured live since "Missing Person" and have not been previously recorded on sound. The songs, forged in DIY spaces and small bars in West Philadelphia, are recorded in a way that preserves a sense of distance from the audience without confining them too much to the soundscape of the studio. ～The songs are simultaneously urban alienated and intimate, drawing on the roots of indie rock. The song "RECENTLY DELETED" features dry vocals rolling over laid-back steel, "SIX HOURS" reflects a sense of time displacement and fatigue with a middle groove, "BULLETS FROM HEAVEN" gently swaying with distorted guitars and rough beats, "HUMANOID TYPHOON" crosses space rock-leaning chords with alternative country, and "DISTANT STAR" quietly closes the night with soft arpeggios and voices.
