Querti, who is not only a pianist but also a Schumann scholar, peace activist, and more, presents the Piano Sonata No. 3, an early masterpiece in which Brahms demonstrated his mastery of compositional technique at the age of just 20, and the Variations and Fugue on a Theme by Handel, a masterpiece said to have impressed even Wagner.
