Long-awaited repress of the debut album by Leclerc, a "post-Internet" band with influences ranging from Kang, Piero Umiliani, and Tangerine Dream to Aphex Twin and Bose of Canada! Long-awaited repress of the hard-to-find first album by the Swiss "polyglove band" fascinated by Afrobeat, funk, and psychedelic music. Compared to their later works, this band is more of a royal funk/funk rock band, but they have a lot of music nerd sensibilities, such as a cover of Chin Maia's "O Camihno do Bem," a fusion of hard rock riffs and afrofunk, surf rock and exotica, and classic reggae riddims, and more. This is a great album that shows that the band was quick to embody the current trends while incorporating their sense of music geekery!
