A raging catharsis that sublimates sentiments and emotions amplified by roaring guitars into a unique sound universe at once. The soundscape is dark and heavy, with roaring guitars, and metal and shoegaze intertwined. DEAFHEAVEN is a post-metal band from San Francisco that has established the "blackgaze" genre, and has been releasing their latest album "LONELY PEOPLE WITH POWER", their first release on ROADRUNNER RECORDS, as well as a 2-CD analog set. WITH POWER", the first release from ROADRUNNER RECORDS, and a 2-LP analog set will be released at the same time! DEAFHEAVEN, a post-metal band from San Francisco, released their debut album "ROADS TO JUDAH" in 2011, and their 2013 album "SUNBATHER" received great acclaim from Pitchfork and other music media. Their third album "NEW BERMUDA" was released in 2015, and their original and cutting-edge rock sound has been highly acclaimed. In 2019, they will visit Japan as a guest act for EMPEROR, and in 2024, they will headline a tour in Tokyo and Osaka, steadily increasing their fan base. DEAFHEAVEN announced their move to ROADRUNNER RECORDS earlier this year, and the long-awaited release of their new album is now confirmed. LONELY PEOPLE WITH POWER, the band's sixth album and the first in three years since their last album INFINITE GRANITE in 2021, was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen (St. Vincent, M83). It is mixed by Zach Weeks of GodCity Studio. The band has established the genre of "blackgaze," which is a fusion of black metal and shoegaze with roaring guitars, and with this album they have created a sound that is heavy with layers of sound, complex tones, and beautiful melodies that sometimes seem to shine through the darkness, as if they are spitting out their souls. The sound universe of the vocals is further expanded, transcending the listener's expectations and inviting them to a roaring catharsis that they have never experienced before.
