A record of a joint performance by Ormandy (1899-1985) and Arthur Rubinstein (1887-1982). Due to their record company relationships, the two American musicians never performed together on recordings. For this reason, there were high expectations for this concert of the two masters in London, and the actual performance was superb. Rubinstein was in his mid-70s at the time, but his tone was so impressive that one did not feel it at all.
