Trio Orelon

Description:

Includes Dora Pejacevich(1885-1923):Piano Trio Op.29/ Amanda Lentchen-Meier(1853-1894):Piano Trio in E-flat major Performers Trio Oleron [Judith Stapf (violin), Arnau Rovira i Bascompte (cello), Marco Sanna (piano)] Formed in Cologne in 2019, the Trio has a brilliant record of achievements, including 1st Prize & Audience Prize at the ARD Munich International Music Competition, known as a difficult competition, 1st Prize & Best Performance of a Commissioned Work at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, 1st Prize & Best Performance of a Commissioned Work at the "Schubert and Contemporary Music" Competition in Graz Trio Oleron is an up-and-coming ensemble. The trio is a group of three musicians, Judith Stapf from Germany, Arnau Rovira i Vascompte from Spain (Catalonia), and Marco Sanna from Italy, who met at music universities in Cologne and Berlin, where the piano trio provided them with the best harmony both musically and humanly. The three look at their playing in a curious and dynamic way, and combine it with an irrepressible energy and desire to express themselves. Trio Oleron, which made its impressive debut in 2022 with its first album (C00592) of chamber works by Amy Beach, continues to focus on the works of great pioneering female composers on its second album. Dora Pejacevic (1885-1923), born in Budapest to an aristocratic Croatian family, became the first real female composer in Croatia and gained national popularity. Amanda Lentchen-Meier (1853-1894) was the first Swedish woman to graduate from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm with the title of Musikdirektor. Both lived in countries considered "frontier" in the music world of their time, both were little known for their outstanding talent (like many other women composers), and both wrote very beautiful music, as this album amply proves. Recorded December 14-16, 2023 in Italy. (Tokyo M-Plus)
