A beautiful melody that seems to descend from the heavens. This is a Christmas album by the Oslo Soloist Choir, one of the best ensembles in Scandinavia, known for its music that evokes the "Norwegian land and air". The "Rose," as the title suggests, is closely associated with the sacraments in Christian doctrine. The most important sacrament is the birth of Jesus Christ. In the monothematic chant of the Praetorians, Christ is represented by the rose, which is also a symbol of the Virgin Mary's connection to the Holy Trinity.The program will be centered on the suite "Ros", which was compiled by conductor Pödeschen (1960-) from nine pieces by Hildegard von Bingen and other traditional composers, and whose title is derived from the Old Norse word "Ros".
