Eighty minutes goes by in a flash. The virtuoso and entertainer Fresto's superb artistry. The Swedish clarinetist Martin Frest has become a worldwide favorite for his crossover entertainments. This album is a good collection of works related to dance from around the world. The Copland concerto is a jazzy piece dedicated to Benny Goodman, the "King of Swing," but it is noteworthy that the original ending, which is rarely heard, is also included. In the concerto "The Peacock's Tale" by contemporary Swedish composer Hilleborg, Fresto performs a figure-eight on roller skates while blowing Bach-Gounod's "Ave Maria". The program also included Brahms' Hungarian Dances arranged by his brother, Yoran Frest, as well as klezmer music by Eastern European Jews. Piazzolla's "Oblivion" is also full of coolness.Tonietti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra, which recently toured Japan to rave reviews, provide exquisite accompaniment. King International
