Paganini Competition Winner Ning Feng Finally Records "24 Caprices"! Chinese virtuoso Ning Feng, winner of the Paganini Competition! Finally, he has recorded his big dream, Paganini's "24 Caprices"! Ning Feng, born in China and now based in Berlin, has won prizes at prestigious competitions such as the Hanover International Violin Competition, Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, and was awarded first prize at the Michael Hill International Violin Competition in 2005. In 2006, he won the first prize at the Paganini International Violin Competition, the oldest and most prestigious violin competition in Paganini's hometown of Genoa, and in 2007, he released a Paganini tribute album "Hello Mr. Paganini". In 2007, Ning Feng made his recording debut with the Paganini tribute album Hello Mr. Paganini (CCSSA80807), and in 2019, he released the well-received collection of Paganini and Wu-Tang Violin Concertos (CCS40719), finally recording the 24 Caprices, a major Paganini masterpiece. The recording was released to great critical acclaim.The "24 Caprices," the bible of violin superlatives, is combined with the "Farewell Caprice (Caprice d'adieu)," also known as the 25th Caprice, to showcase Ning Feng's rich lyricism and musicality, as well as his superb virtuosity and superb technique. In addition, Ning Feng, who has previously recorded mostly on Stradivarius, uses a new violin made in 2017 by Samuel Zygmuntowicz, a modern master craftsman who was a favorite of Isaac Stern and Yo-Yo Ma.
