Thomas Beyer, Artistic Director of the Young Pianists Foundation since 1949 and winner of the Nederlandse Muziekprijs, the highest national award given to classical musicians by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science in 2022, and Nicholas van Pukke, a pianist with a keen musical sense and a dynamic and emotional playing style, will perform the Sonatas for 4 hands for the first time in the Netherlands. They have been good friends for more than 15 years and regularly visit, enjoy and criticize each other. During the outbreak of the new coronavirus, they focused on Mozart's four-hand sonatas, giving many performances, and recorded three sonatas for the adventurous Dutch high-quality sound label TRPTK. Van Pucke pedals powerfully on the bass side, and Beyer sings like a refined poet on the treble side of the grand piano.Blessed with excellent technique, the ability to empathize with each other, and a colorful imagination, these two pianists will breathe new life into Mozart's natural, fragile sound, full of vitality and charm.
