Description:
All Mozart Piano Music Recorded! Christian Ehle Hadran! In 1990, cable TV was installed in my childhood house with a terrace in Stavanger. One winter night, there was a knock at the door. It was my grandfather, a music lover, who had come to watch the late-night broadcast of "Amadeus. I think it was 11 pm. He told me I could watch only the first part, but when Mozart's rival Salieri was about to cut his throat, he sent me to bed. Something must have stirred in me, because immediately the next day I went to the kiosk at the Stavanger Hospital and bought a cassette containing Mozart's 20th and 21st piano concertos: ......" (Christian Ihle Hadran, "LWC 1219" liner notes) Christian Ihle Hadran was born in 1983 in Stavanger, southwestern Norway, and entered the local Rogalan Conservatory at the age of 11. He began studying with Izy Hlinka in 1999, and later with Hlinka's student, Ansnes. In 2011, he gained international attention when he was selected as one of BBC Radio 3's "New Generation Artists". Her music is loved for its balance of technique and sensitivity, and she is an indispensable solo and chamber music player on the Scandinavian and European music scene. Along with Haydn, Chopin, Schumann, Brahms, and Sinding, Mozart is an important part of Hadran's repertoire, and he has performed "Quintet for Piano and Woodwinds" (LWC 1187) with the Oslo Kammerakademie and with Arvid Engegård conducting the He has also released on CD the 21st and 11th concertos with the Oslo Philharmonic (Simax PSC 1323), conducted by Arvid Engegård. This is a project to record all of Mozart's solo piano music. The first collection includes four sonatas. No. 9 from 1777 during his stays in Augsburg and Mannheim, Nos. 12 and 13 from his Paris years, and No. 16, which is also included in the "Sonatine Album".The "Minuet" in G major, C major, and F major, which are "studies" Mozart wrote as a boy, the "Small Funeral Music" said to have been composed in 1784 when he joined the Freemasons, and the "Piano Piece in F major" are also included in this album.
