The Norwegian string orchestra Ensemble Alegria performs independently with guest musicians of the first rank, such as Mattin Frost on clarinet and Tors Mørk on cello, as well as regularly with the Norwegian Soloist Choir under the direction of Grete Pödeschen, The group's substantial activities include the 2017 release of J.S. Bach's Seven Motets (BIS SA-2251), which was selected by Diapason d'or as the best album in the choral category for 2018.
