Description:
Peter Baumann is a keyboard player who supported the golden era of Tangerine Dream, a solitary Krautrock band born in Germany, in the 1970s. In 1976, while still a member of the band, he made his solo debut with "Romance 76," a fantastic and aesthetic ambient and progressive rock sound. After leaving the band, he released his second solo album, "Trans Harmonic Nights" in 1979. Baumann introduced the vocoder and other elements of a sharp, sophisticated 80s electro sound. Co-produced with Robert Palmer, Baumann's third album "Repeat Repeat" (1981) is the latest remastered version from Rubellan Remasters, a label specializing in reissues of 80s music. With inorganic electro tracks reminiscent of Kraftwerk and John Foxx, and a vocal style that is unaffected and wet like Gary Numan's, this is a masterpiece of a solo career that brilliantly "captures the new wave. The album contains 10 songs in the same order as the original UK Virgin release, including the title track, which was cut as a single, and "Daytime Logic," which was released as a 12-inch the following year and became a dance hit on the underground scene.
