Their 10th album, "Salsa Navidad," is a joyful and powerful holiday album that blends timeless traditions with SHO's unique New York salsa sound. At the same time, it is more than just a seasonal release. It captures the spirit of the holiday season through traditional Puerto Rican rhythms, plena, bomba, and aguinaldo, while interweaving SHO's signature style, dynamic and organic, with deep roots in the golden age of salsa dura. The previously released "Navidad Con Plena" is truly a cross between traditional rhythms and Christmas festivities.SHO's arrangements of classic songs such as "Jingle Bells," "Silent Night/Noche De Paz" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" are truly wonderful and will become a staple for salsa DJs and dancers. It seems to become a standard for salsa DJs and dancers. The medley "A SHO Salsa Christmas Medley" is especially killer. The original songs "Cultura y Tradicion," "Venimos Cantando Alegre," and "Llego Navidad" are also future holiday standards that embody the joy, unity, and cultural pride of a Latino Christmas. Special guests who add to the excitement of the project include legendary salsa vocalist Rey de la Paz and Puerto Rican cuatro master Edwin Colon Zayas, who will also be featured on the album. Another guest, Kevin Osborne, beautifully sings the timeless classic "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". This album, "Salsa Navidad," will become the new masterpiece of the Spanish Harlem Orchestra.
