Texas trio Cluambin re-recorded an updated version of their own debut album, released in 2015. The Universe Smiles Upon You ii, the definitive record the band wants you to hear, is now available. Khruangbin re-recorded an updated version of his debut album, The Universe Smiles Upon You, released in 2015. The band asked themselves, "If we could go back 10 years, what would we tell ourselves?" They recorded the new version in the same manner, date, and location as the original version. They wanted to make this new version on their own. They wanted to make this new version, and now they consider themselves a different band altogether. This new version is the definitive version that the band wants you to hear, and will be the main version that the band will promote in the future. The artwork was commissioned from the same artists who worked on the original, and a new version was created.
