Description:
British singer-songwriter Bill Fay has enjoyed a cult following since the late '60s, and his third album, recorded in band form between 1978 and 1981, has been reissued in its entirety by Dead Oceans. Fay has been both prolific and underrated for decades, and Fay's status as an unsung hero has slowly and steadily changed over the course of nearly 25 years. The Bill Fay Group is Fay's most important collaboration. Recorded as part of a larger group, TomorrowTomorrow and Tomorrow evokes a grand sonic scale, an elegant counterpoint to Fay's understated instincts.The result brings the galactic quality of early rock, complex jazz improvisations, and Fay's secular folk magic. The release dates for this work have been mixed: recorded between 1978 and 1981, it was released on CD and limited streaming in 2005, but never on LP; a 2006 reissue brought it to LP, but nine tracks were missing from that release. Now, "Tomorrow Tomorrow and Tomorrow" is finally being released in full worldwide. The album will include all 22 original songs from the album, and will also feature rare, never-before-seen photos from the original recording sessions.
