A Place to Belly Strangers, a three-piece noise band from New York City that has toured with Nine Inch Nails, MGMT, and Black Level Motorcycle Club, has moved to the excellent US label Dead Oceans and released their latest 5-song They have released their latest EP with 5 songs! A Place to Berry Strangers was formed in New York by Oliver Ackerman, an ex-member of Skywave, a band that Paul Baker, who is currently active in Ceremony, used to be a member of. They have released two albums and numerous EPs and singles.The band's label says, "This is louder than anything we've ever put out on the label! This album is a masterpiece of overwhelming noise and power, sprinkled with elements of 60s pop, and packed with everything fans have come to expect from the band! With the addition of former The D4 bassist Dion Lunadon, the band has become even more powerful, and one cannot take one's eyes off of them! Incidentally, Oliver is also the owner of Death by Audio, an effects pedal brand used by U2 and Nine Inch Nails.
