This is a live recording of a performance at the Ruisrock festival in August 1971 by the Finnish jazz-rock band, which also included Jukka Tolonen, as they transitioned to a more aggressive, interplay-oriented style of music. The band was formed in 1969 by Jukka Tolonen (g), who later became active in the Scandinavian jazz scene, and Vesa Aaltonen (drs), who later became active as a session musician. The band performed at the annual Finnish rock festival "Ruisrock" in 1971, and this live recording was released from Svart Records in Finland in '24. This is a live performance from the summer of 1971, the end of the tenure of Frank Robson, the first vocalist of the band, who would leave the band the following year.At this point, the band had already moved away from the blues/art-rock based musicality heard on the first and second albums and at the Ruisrock festival the previous year, and the band's sound had taken a new direction with Jukka's sharp guitar and Pekka Poyry's freaky flute and saxophone interplay, and the energetic rhythm section adding funk to the mix.
