A diverse collection of saxophone works by Australian and Thai composers! This project started in 2009 when the HD duo visited Bangkok, Thailand to perform at the World Saxophone Congress. They were greatly influenced by Thai music, which they brought back to Australia, and conversely, they wanted to spread Australian music to Thailand. This piece was born out of that desire to share the music of both countries. The album features works by contemporary composers from Australia and Thailand. HD duo Michael Duke attended Indiana University, where he studied with classical saxophonist Eugene Rousseau. He later studied jazz at Berklee College of Music, where he has been active in many fields.The nature of this album, which features works by a variety of composers, shows a wide range of musicality, not only in classical music, but also in jazz, oriental sounds, and other diverse works, which are beautifully played together. The fact that he is able to play all of these pieces shows his wide range of musicality. Tokyo M-Plus
