Recordings are made in close collaboration with the Center for Flemish Music Studies, based on intensive research in libraries and archives and meticulous musical editions. This release is the third and final volume of a collection of piano works by the Belgian composer Joseph Lailant (1870–1965), featuring previously unpublished pieces and rare repertoire seldom performed. The performer is Josef de Behnbauer, an expert who has long dedicated himself to promoting Lirant’s works. Known for his deep understanding of Romantic music, he is also a renowned master who received the prestigious Robert Schumann Prize for his contributions, including the completion of Schumann’s works and world premiere recordings.
