Description:

Contents Bach:. Sonata No. 1 in G major, BWV 1027, Sonata No. 2 in D major, BWV 1028/ Johann Christian Bach: Sonata in C minor, Op.17-2, W.A 8/ J.S.Bach: Sonata No.3 in G minor, BWV 1029 Performer Federico Braccarente (piccolo cello), Alessandro Deliavin (fortepiano) Federico Bracarente is devoted to playing original instruments of Baroque~Classical music. An interesting album born from the exploration of new rhetorical and poetic spaces, timbres, and dynamics to reveal the soul of one of J.S. Bach's masterpieces, the Three Sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord. The work is performed on piccolo cello, which resembles the viola da gamba in size and texture, and optimally expresses the lyrical quality of some movements and the technique of the more complex and faster passages. The fortepiano was chosen to emphasize the counterpoint nature of the three trio sonatas, especially the continuous duet between the right hand and cello. Federico Braccarente was born in Fermo, Italy in 1982.He began studying cello at the age of five, studying with Mario Brunello and Giovanni Sollima, as well as with Stefano Vezzetti and Christophe Cowan, deepening his baroque and classical repertoire. A member of influential Italian ensembles such as the Mantova Chamber Orchestra and the Italian String Orchestra, in 2017 he founded the string quartet Cubis Project, which opened Radiohead's concert at the Macerata. *Recording:October 8-10, 2023, Italy Instruments used:Piccolo cello: 5-string English cello of unknown maker (19th century) Fortepiano: Square piano by Longman & Broderip (1787/88) (Tokyo M-Plus)
