I have a lot of respect for the fact that our songs have become the soundtrack for so many people. The three-piece group is synonymous with American folk rock and soft rock, and has released such hits as "Ventura Highway" and "Sister Golden Hair," as well as "A Horse with No Name," which became the No. 1 single in the U.S. The group is also known as the "American Folk Rock/Soft Rock" band.Their sound, a wonderful collaboration of fresh harmonies and acoustic sounds, still shines as brightly as ever, and still delivers the same fresh breeze. Formed in London in 1970 by Jerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell, and Dan Peek, the group made its debut in 1971 and quickly gained attention with the single "Nameless Horse," which reached number one in the United States in 1972. The band has since produced numerous hit songs and continues to be loved around the world for their beautiful harmonies, beautiful melodies, and honest lyrics. The "50th Anniversary: The Collection" contains 50 songs on three CDs, including such major hits as "A Horse with No Name," "Sister Golden Hair," "Ventura Highway," "Tin Man," and "Lonely People," as well as a variety of legacy songs from America's career. The collection includes a variety of legacies that America has released.This collection covers not only their seven albums for Warner Bros. Records in the 1970s, but also "You Can Do Magic" after they moved to Capitol Records. Highway", a live recording of "Riverside", and an unreleased demo of "Sister Golden Hair".
