1978 was definitely a magical year for the band. To come back to England and play a headline concert at the legendary Rainbow was a dream come true. The crowd was amazing and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Since their debut in 1977 with the album "FOREIGNER", the legendary rock act "FOREIGNER" has had numerous hit songs, earned 10 multi-platinum discs, and sold over 75 million albums worldwide, establishing themselves as one of the biggest selling bands of all time. Live at the Rainbow '78," which features rare live performances from the band's early years after their debut, will finally be released on CD and analog! Their early live recordings, which were released only on video and digital distribution in March of this year, will finally be released in physical format.The band's debut album, released in 1977, reached No. 4 on the U.S. charts and remained in the Top 20 for almost a year, catapulting the mixed U.S.-British band into the international spotlight. In April 1978, about a year after their debut, they played a sold-out headline show at the legendary Rainbow in London. Opening with "Long, Long Way From Home," the night featured hit singles such as "Feels Like The First Time" and "Cold As Ice," as well as two new songs from their second album, "Double Vision," which would later be released. The band's solid musicianship and excellent performance provided the audience with a dazzling time. This rare live performance is now being released as the latest remastered recording.The classic lineup of Mick Jones (g, key, vo), Lou Gramm (vo, perc.), Ian McDonald (g, key, sax, flute, vo), Al Greenwood (key, synth), Ed Galliard (b, vo), and Dennis Elliott (dr) was a classic.
