Hip Hop is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and it is said that August 11, 1973, when DJ Kool Herc, the founder of Hip Hop, held the first block party with his sister Cindy Campbell in the Bronx, New York, was the day Hip Hop music and culture was born. It is said to be the day that the music and culture of hip-hop was born.In the U.S., various events are planned to celebrate this anniversary year, including a special tribute performance at the 65th Grammy Awards ceremony in February, and the "HIP HOP 50 LIVE" event at Yankee Stadium in New York City on August 11. The Warner Music Group is also planning a variety of events to celebrate this anniversary year. Warner Music Group will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of this important date in the history of American music and culture by bringing back to life some of the label's most celebrated Hip Hop and R&B albums on analog LP! The releases from July to August will include many albums released in the 90's by Bad Boy Records led by Sean "Diddy" Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, and its surrounding labels, which emerged in 1994 and has since established itself as a mainstream hip-hop label and reigned as a representative label of the East Coast scene.
