With a country rock sound based on the Bakersfield sound, Dwight Yoakam is one of the most popular artists on the contemporary country scene. To date, he has released 17 studio albums, with more than 30 songs on the U.S. Country Song Chart and numerous platinum discs, and has sold more than 25 million albums to date, making him a very significant artist.While firmly rooted in his roots, he also incorporates sounds of Americana, rock, pop, and soul, singing the very heart and soul of America, and he is also an actor. This year, as a Record Store Day exclusive, he has just released a 4-CD analog box set featuring his three studio albums released on Reprise Records in the 80s, plus a bonus disc of rare tracks recorded at the time. The three studio albums included in the box set are now being released as stand-alone color analog vinyl releases. As with the Record Store Day exclusive, the soundtracks are the latest remastered recordings from 2023.
