This is the dream super band that fans have been waiting for, capturing and responding to the sound of the present time.In that spirit, R+R=NOW's debut album, a raw documentary titled "Collage Speaking," is a collection of songs that span genres from neo-soul, future funk, and contemporary West Coast jazz to astral electronica, as well as The members of R+R=NOW have revolutionized jazz with "Black Radio", Robert Glasper, Kenneth Kemp, and the band's founder, Robert Glasper, and the band's first member, Jazzman. R+R=NOW members include Robert Glasper, who revolutionized jazz with "Black Radio"; Terrace Martin, one of the most important producers and saxophone players of our time, who has worked on Kendrick Lamar's Grammy-winning album "To Pimp A Butterfly" and is the link between jazz and hip-hop; and Delilah Lynch, a member of the Robert Glasper Experiment and the Blue Note All Stars. Terrace Martin is one of the most important producers and saxophonists of our time, connecting jazz and hip-hop with the Robert Glasper Experiment and Blue Note All-Stars; Justin Tyson, who played in Esperanza's band and was also featured in the Robert Glasper Experiment; charismatic trumpeter Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah; and Bobby Maher, famous for "Don't Worry, Be Happy," who is also a member of the Blue Note All-Stars. Taylor McFarlin, whose father is Bobby McFarlin of "Don't Worry, Be Happy" fame, is a DJ, beat boxer, producer, singer, and more.Themes that run through all, sometimes sung lyrically and sometimes implied unsung, include romantic love, universal love, systemic prejudice, the women's movement, quiet power, wild creativity, individual grief and growth.
