A rare recording of Keith Jarrett, who has not performed any concerts since his one-night-only concert at Carnegie Hall, NY on February 15, 2017. Thirteen songs, all improvised. This is another special document from his last European tour.Each of Jarrett's solo piano concerts in 2016 had its own distinct character, but in Bordeaux the lyrical impulses come to the fore. There are many quiet discoveries in the improvised suites, the music as a whole has a touching freshness and a sense of intimate communication.The French press, reviewing the July 2016 performance, said that hints of the "Cologne Concert" and "Solo Concert" are found in the flow of this performance, and the songs included in the "Bordeaux Concert" are beautiful. Gentle songs are drawn from the air, which Francis Malman describes in Le Monde as "awakening to a consciousness of time free from the noise and weariness of the world, evoking a community listening at the edge of silence."
