Folk Improv .... It is the legendary unit of Lou Barlow (Dinosaur Jr. / Sebadoh) and John Davis who, along with Pavement, Duster, Beck, and Daniel Johnston, made US indie / lo-fi music so exciting. After 21 years of breakup, they have released their first complete new album "WALK THRU ME" on JOYFUL NOISE RECORDINGS! The band's 2003 album, "THE NEW FOLK IMPLOSION," was a work featuring Lou and a variety of guests without John's participation. For this album, John returns after a 25-year absence. Since John and Lou live in Massachusetts and North Carolina, respectively, they collaborated remotely with each other, sharing ideas and producing the album as a mirror of a modern home recording session. When the songs were finalized, they went into the studio with Saint Vincent and Scott Solter, the producer who had been in charge of Spoon.Completely self-controlled, this is a perfect album full of the gentle freshness of a mature youth, as the lead track "Moonlit Kind" sounds. The Lou x John verse that comes out from the intro will bring tears to your eyes and make you pump your fists in the air. The two were in charge of the soundtrack for the indie movie "Kids" and the theme song "Natural One" became a hit, making the world aware of the greatness of US indie/lo-fi music and coloring the 90s. From here, they are ready to make another slacker-like leap forward!
