The instrument used is Traugot Berndt's historical piano! Tropowski is one of the most important figures in the revival of Polish classical music, having founded the Polish classical music ensemble Concerto Polocka in 1991 and winning the first prize at the 1st Wanda Landowska International Harpsichord Competition held in Krakow in 1985. Marek Tropowski, one of the most important figures in the revival of Polish classical music, will perform with his student, Ilmina Obonska, a female keyboard player, a duo of works for piano four hands composed in the early 19th century. Tropowski chose the Polonaise by Beethoven's favorite pupil Ries, the Polonaise by Oginski, an important figure in the Polish keyboard scene before Chopin, and the Duszek, the scandal king of the late 18th and early 19th century, which is Tropowski's specialty.
