This box includes the second prize winner of the 2017 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, cello division, Yuya Okamoto!This box features the top winners of the 2017 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, cello division, performing at the time of the competition. The cello category was newly established in 2017, replacing the composition category. The box also features a performance by the Japanese Yuya Okamoto, the second prize winner of the prestigious first edition of the competition, and is not to be missed! Yuya Okamoto was born in Tokyo in 1994 and studied with H=J. Seeflut, Nobuko Yamazaki, and W=S. Yang. After graduating from the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts and the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts, he is currently studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, Germany. 2011 "Japan Music Competition" 1st prize in cello division and Iwatani Prize (audience prize), Masuzawa Prize, Kuroyanagi Prize and Tokunaga Prize; 2015 "The 25th Nippon Steel Sumikin Music Award" Fresh In June 2016, she performed Boulez's difficult piece "Messageskis (for seven cellos)" at the Keras concert at Toppan Hall. (He is the 42nd scholarship recipient of the Ezoe Memorial Foundation. (She is a 2013/2014 scholarship recipient of the Rohm Music Foundation.She won the Fresh Artist Award at the 25th Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Music Awards (2014), and her remarkable performance has been highly anticipated. Her sensitive and eloquent tone exploded in Dvorak. The performance was full of lyricism and intelligence, and drew the audience in. The other prizewinners also gave strong performances. Hosokawa's work is also a large work that begins with Hosokawa's characteristic serenity, and then includes scenes of intense confrontation between the orchestra and the cello. The Chacun(e)sa chaconne by Annelie van Paris is a difficult piece with crystal-like hard tones and intricate rhythms, while CD4, De ZES/Les SIX, is a unique experiment by the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in which six music education The six students who are pursuing their music education will follow their performances from the first round to the finals, and will share their impressions and the atmosphere of their performances on Twitter, Facebook, and their own website.
