Following a string of fantastic releases—including the unearthing of previously unreleased tracks by 90s techno pioneers like STASIS, NURON, and FUGUE—〈DE:TUNED〉’s latest release features UK techno legend KIRKDEGIORGIO, aka ASONE!! It also features remixes by two legends: IANO’BRIEN and LUKESLATER!! This release features two original tracks: the Detroit-style title track “The Unveiling,” characterized by classic synthesizers and beautiful harmonies, and “Descent Module,” a hypnotic track with an acid-driven vibe that’s perfect for the after-hours!! The two remixes are both tracks originally released by ASONE on 〈DE:TUNED〉 in ’19. Legend IANO’BRIEN has reimagined one into a deeply emotional track steeped in Detroit soul with warm synths, while while LUKESLATER delivers a remix under the rare 7THPLAINE moniker—one of the few remaining representatives of 90s ambient techno masterpieces!! The laid-back BPM makes for an irresistible finish!! Furthermore, all the graphic work was handled by KEVINFOAKES—who also participated in the DJFOOD project conceived by Coldcut of 〈NINJATUNE〉—so this aspect is flawless as well. A rock-solid release on 180g heavyweight vinyl!!
