Description:
A mod & original jazz-rock band led by Graham Bond, the coolest organist in the UK in the 60s, with Jack Bruce, who later formed Cream, on bass, Ginger Baker on drums, and Dick Hextall Smith on sax, Graham Bond Organization. The band's dynamic mixture of blues, jazz, R&B, and rock sounds is so cool that they didn't release their first album until 1965. This album was recorded live in 1964, before their album debut. The saxophone cuts into Bond's cool organ, the drums are pounding, and the vocals by Bond and Jack Bruce are great. The rough recording with some cheers gives you a taste of the atmosphere of the time.
