Description:
It was in late 2014 that Yodit Tekle, wife of Martin Anderson, founder of the TOCCATA CLASSICS label, was diagnosed with an illness. To comfort his beloved wife's feelings, he commissioned a group of friends and composers to create a "work for string orchestra" to be performed at a concert in December, her birthday in 2015. However, that concert never materialized and Yodit passed away at the young age of 37 on April 24, 2015, leaving behind her 5-year-old son Alex. Although the concert for her was never realized, the final result was a collection of more than 100 compositions for string orchestra, as well as works created for that occasion. We even went so far as to name the project "Music for My Love." The profits from the sale of this CD will be donated to two charitable organizations (which empowered Yodit in her final days) and will be used to "fight cancer" that took her life. Naxos Japan
