This is a live CD of the European Brass Band Championship held April 28 - 30, 2017 at the Concert Hall Quazar, Oostend, Belgium. The Cory Band's back-to-back championships were on the line in 2017, but they missed out on back-to-back championships by two points from first place, finishing in third place. The championship was won by Norway's Eikanger-Bjorsvik Musiklag for the first time in 28 years. Other winners included the Italian Brass Band, winner of the Challenge Section; the Young Brass Band Villebroek, winner of the Youth Section Premier Section; the Eland Silver Youth Band, winner of the Development Section; and the Cory Band, The European Youth Brass Band Gala Concert. This is a must-listen item for brass band fans who will enjoy these enthusiastic and outstanding performances.
