London producer, composer, and keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones, whose free and experimental activities fuse jazz, dub, hip-hop, funk, and soul, has released his second dub EP on his own label, Aquarii. For his second EP, Armon-Jones teamed up with legendary reggae DJ Ranking Joe and saxophonist and Ezra Collective band member James Mollison. This album, "Ceasefire," is an uncompromising call for peace at a time of escalating global conflict," says Joe Armon-Jones. I wrote this song in 2020, motivated by people making money off the blood of innocents." This Ranking Joe calls for a ceasefire, not only against the Israeli occupiers, but against all those around the world who seek to kill other human beings.In addition to Ranking Joe and James Mollison, the group features black midi's Morgan Simpson on drums, Nubiyan Twist bassist Luke Wynter, and Loyle Carner and Celeste guitarist Mark Mollison. Produced and mixed by Joe Archer. Produced and mixed by Joe Armon-Jones, vocal mixed by Prince Fatty, and mastered by Noah Priddle.
