After immigrating to New Zealand as a child and receiving a formal musical education, she formed the vocal group "Sole Mio" (SOL3 MIO) with her brother, tenor Amitai Patti, and her cousin, baritone Moses McKay. Pene Patti's second album, "Nessun Dorma" (No One Must Sleep), is titled after the tenor's famous hit arias and features a balance of popular numbers and arias from unusual operas, including an aria from Gounod's "Faust" from the 1858 version. The aria from Gounod's Faust is the world premiere recording of the 1858 version. In addition to Puccini, the Italian composers Verdi, Donizetti, Mascagni, and Mercadante, and the French composers Berlioz, Maiavare, Gounod, Massenet, Allevi, and Guiraud are all represented. In addition to the Samoan tenor, the album also features his wife, soprano Amina Edris, the tenor's brother Amitai Patti, conductor Emmanuel Villaume, the Orchestre National d'Aquitaine de Bordeaux, and the Bordeaux National Opera Chorus.
