This Rattle-conducted "Planet" was the domestic debut of the now world-renowned Rattle in Japan, and is a masterful performance by the brilliant young Rattle at the age of 25, sharp and richly lush. This album is now available as a 180g analog LP in limited quantities! This is one of Rattle's representative albums from his early years at the age of 25. The orchestra was the Philharmonia Orchestra, with which he had a close relationship at the time. This performance shows the budding of Rattle's strong leadership, which he also demonstrated with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. The first "Mars. The first "Mars," with its wildly intense, primary-color depiction of sparks exploding, is the very essence of the "God of War. The following "Venus" and "Mercury" vividly depict the character of the subtitle given to each. This is an important disc that is indispensable when talking about Rattle. This disc was specially selected by Record Geijutsu (Recorded Arts).Although the early digital recordings have been remastered several times on CD, the choice of sound source for the re-release of this analog LP version was based on the best cutting from the original digital master (it was recorded with the best sound quality for the LP release at that time), so it was decided to use the original digital master as it was.
