The oldest of the collection dates back to 1973, when the band was first formed, and now contains 41 tracks of rare material from the early days of Divo, including basement recordings, original demo tapes, unfinished montages, live recordings, and more. By the time of their debut in 1977, Divo had transformed into an art project, pop art, and a group that David Bowie proclaimed "the band of the future. These rare recordings offer a glimpse into the early concepts that gave birth to their new aesthetic, which continually challenged preconceptions about music, art, performance, culture, composition, and consumption. These recordings, with their rough edges, early impulses, and the sparkle of gemstones, will be listened to by all music lovers, not just their fans. Includes a track listing supervised by the band, rare images and liner notes by Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald V. Casale.
