Lina Tour Bonnet, concertmaster of "Le Concert des Nations" led by Jordi Savard, has long been presenting curiosity and new perspectives on scores that have been buried and forgotten by history. This time Bonnet focuses on the trajectory of the Mendelssohn siblings: the boy prodigy Felix Mendelssohn, who composed the Violin Concerto in D minor at the age of 13. Lina Tour Bonnet has made the world premiere recording of the original version, which has never been published. The final draft is also included. Her fiery performance vividly brings out the extraordinary creative energy and spark of talent that Felix possessed throughout his life. And Fanny Mendelssohn, one of the first women to compose a string quartet, took up the genre at the age of 29, leaving behind a work that shows remarkable freedom and daring in form. Bonnet will perform this work in a version arranged for string orchestra. Together with the Orchestre de chambre de Toulouse, the orchestra vividly unfolds the world of Fanny's music.It is full of lively expressiveness, sometimes gentle, sometimes anxious, and it brings out the variously shifting charms of the work in a way that could not be better.
