Since her debut in 1980, Chrissie Hynde has reigned as one of the greatest female rock icons with her sisterly presence. At 68 years old, the rocker, who recorded numerous international hits as a member of The Pretenders, is also a solo artist whose charismatic sound and performances have earned her the respect of rock fans, the media, and artists around the world. He is an important artist who cannot be overlooked in the history of rock music.
The band's first Greatest Hits compilation, "The Singles," was released in 1987 and reached #6 in the UK charts, followed by a triple platinum disc in the UK and platinum discs in Spain and New Zealand, It went on to become a huge hit in the U.K., where it was a triple platinum disc, followed by platinum discs in Spain and New Zealand, and gold discs in France and the United States.This time, "THE SINGLES" will be reissued in a new edition with remastered sound sources on CD and 2-CD analog vinyl.
The new edition includes 16 hit songs, including "Brass in Pocket," "Back on the Chain Gang," and "Don't Get Me Wrong," which was used as the theme song for a morning TV show in Japan. The newly released edition features remastered soundtracks, and songs from the band's 1980 debut PRETENDERS, 1981's second album PRETENDERS II, and 1984's third album LEARNING TO CRAWL have been remastered by Chris Thomas' 2018 remastered soundtracks are used for the songs from "GET CLOSE" released in 1986, and the latest remastered soundtracks from 2025 are used for the songs from "LEARNING TO CRAWL", the third album released in 1984.
