He made his debut in 1973 as the vocalist of Montrose, and after leaving the band, he became a solo artist. In 1985, Sammy Hagar joined Van Halen and led the band to greater success. Here is a rare live archive of his career as a solo artist! After leaving Montrose, he started his career as a solo artist in 1976, releasing two albums on Capitol Records in the U.S. He moved to Gefyn Records in the U.S. in 1981 and released "Standing Hampton," which reached No. 28 on the U.S. album charts and went gold. It reached No. 28 on the U.S. album chart and was awarded a gold disc. In 1982, the following year, the band embarked on the "Standing Hampton 1982 Tour," a 65-show tour of the U.K. and U.S. only. The January 28 concert in Glasgow, Scotland was recorded and broadcast for radio promotion.This live album is released using the original broadcast recording and captures the concert in its entirety, including cover songs and encores (the opening number is faded in because of the radio MC). The live performance, in which Sammy Hagar sings a straight hard rock sound with his unique passionate vocals, is more complete than ever. This is a live album that allows you to enjoy a different Sammy Hagar from the one after he joined Van Halen!
