The 1988 release of "New Jersey" also spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. album charts, and the band quickly earned its position as the top band in the U.S. The band followed this up with the "New Jersey Syndicate Tour," a two-year, 247-show world tour that included a stop in New Jersey in January 26, 1990, and a stop in New Jersey in January 27, 1990. The January 26, 1990 concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was broadcast live throughout South America. This album is a live album edited and re-broadcast from this program, and includes the complete concert including encores.The album, which included two mega-hit singles, became a worldwide hit, and this concert, which marks the end of the tour, was the band's highest point, so the performance was a real treat to hear!
