Olivia Newton-John is an English female pop singer from Australia. After working her way up through the ranks, she made her solo debut as a country-pop singer in 1973 with the single 'I Honestly Love You', which reached No. 1 on the U.S. singles chart in 1974, and continued her stardom with 'Have You Never Been Mellow' (1975), an appearance in the musical film Grease, and a hit with its theme song. In 1981, she reached the pinnacle of her career as a pop singer with the disco-tinged pop song "Physical," which spent 10 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. singles chart. This CD features her first concert in Japan as a solo artist in 25 years as part of her "Heartstrings World Tour," the first world tour in 25 years, from 2002 to 2003, and includes a concert at the Tokyo International Forum on April 4, 2003. The concert at Tokyo International Forum on April 4, 2003 was recorded and broadcast as a BS TV/FM radio special program, which was later broadcast in the countries where the band toured.This is a live album based on the recordings from the broadcast, and includes the complete concert, including cover songs and encores. The set list, which includes hit songs from the past and songs by artists Olivia Newton-John respects, is one of the best of her concerts to date, making this a much-anticipated release for her fans.
