In 1971, Keith Jarrett joined Miles Davis' band. At this point, he was the second keyboard player after Chick Corea on organ, but when Chick Corea left the band, Keith Jarrett became the main keyboard player, playing electric piano and organ, and joined the tour. During the European tour, the sound of the concert in Oslo, Norway on November 9, 1971 was recorded and broadcast on a local TV/radio station. This release is based on the sound recordings from this radio broadcast. The setlist consisted of seven songs, and this live album is a valuable archive of the entire concert. Keith Jarrett's performance on keyboards supporting Miles Davis' sound of electric sounds and 8 beats brings a fresh brilliance with an approach different from that of his predecessor, Chick Corea. The other six members of the band, who were also appointed by Miles Davis, also support him with breathtaking, high-intensity performances.
