Description:
In 1969, Dave released "Ode To Quetzalcoatl," a concept album about crawling out of a drug-induced hell and finding peace of mind with God. The album was well received in the local Grand Rapids, Michigan area, and the shows at religious group meetings consistently drew several hundred people. Second Coming" is the band's second album, which capitalizes on this momentum. While "Ode ToQuetzalcoatl" was released under Dave's solo name with his acoustic guitar playing as the core, this album under the Harbinger name is a group album recorded by several members. Although Dave wrote all the lyrics, guitarist Brian McKinness, who also participated in the previous album, plays more parts, and Sandy Johnson's female vocals and Don DeGraaf's bass guitar add depth and breadth to the musicality of the album.
