Jazz singer Penny Goodwin's masterpiece "Portrait of a Gemini" was recorded for Milwaukee's Sidney Enterprises from 1973 to 1974. Only 2,000 copies were pressed for the private label at the time, making this extremely rare work a collector's dream. The cover of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On," with its funky and mellow arrangement that develops from the fast and swinging introduction into a groovy groove, is especially popular.The soulful cover of Gil Scott Heron's "Lady Day & John Coltrane," which is even faster than the original, and "Today Is the First Day," which has an irresistible melodic sound of electric piano and strings, are backed by Richard Evans, Phil Upchurch, Morris Jennings, and many others. The group's diverse and rich musicality, which combines jazz, R&B, and gospel, has made them famous through the introduction of Mr. MURO and the strong respect and strong recommendation of many famous DJs.
