Soul and jazz with the opposite sides of sophistication and cocktails,Experience the ultimate rare groove of Hilton Felton, who traverses funk with aplomb! Hilton Felton, a keyboardist with a sophisticated touch that ranges from mellow to groovy sounds, has left behind a rare groove masterpiece on his own label, "Family And Friends".The cover of the Jackson 5's hit number "Never Can Say Goodbye" (M3) is one of the best among the many covers of this song, with its light cutting guitar, Hilton's soft keys, and galloping horns that immediately bring the floor to full happiness. The Delphonics' jazz-funk cover of the classic "La, La Means I Love You" (M5) is also excellent, as is the opening number "Family And Friends" (M1), which has a superb groove, and "Spreading Focus" (M2), known for its inclusion on a very rare single release. The album also features original jazz-funk numbers such as "Spreading Fever" (M4), which is well known for being included on a very rare single, and the groovy soul of "The Power Of Love (It's In My Heart)" (M5), on which a young Angela Winbush and Hilton Felton themselves sang vocals.
